I don't know about you, but that's the most shocking news story of the day!

That doth not ROCK!

Modern day football sucks!

From the Beeb...

"Notts County have sacked manager Ian McParland after almost two years in charge of the League Two club.

McParland replaced Steve Thompson on 18 October 2007.

He spent eight years as a Notts County player, scoring 90 goals in 267 appearances."

An utter f'ing disgrace.

How harsh!

I guess it's down to the fact that they couldn't beat Torquay yesterday, but bloody undeserved. I hope he gets a better job somewhere else.

It just goes to show how just as suddenly they are out of touch with reality of the game, especially at the lower level. Of course it was inevitable though - instant money wants instant gratification.
Who can blame Sol Campbell for jumping off asap? He was promised a couple of big-name team-mates that didn't materialize, and so that compromised the manager there too.

We can all wonder at the ManCitys and Chalskis and hope they come unstuck sooner or later, but this club is snatching the bad biscuit.
I hope they fall flat on their twattish faces.
I expect Sven will be taking the reins, then.

Well the writing was on the wall.
I mean they're in 5th place, 4 points off top spot with the best GD in the division by a distance. How can ANY manager survive with a record like that ?

Hopefully Sven can rescue the season for them now, eh.

Poor fans. Their club is being turned into a joke.

Notts
Thats Disgusting, Charlie took over at Notts when they were on there knees, he never had a dime to spend as the club were always only just breaking even, he did a really good job in really difficult circumstances (even though they missed out on relegation in previous seasons under his management). As soon as he gets money they start playing really well at home. But as soon as the new board came in they wanted him out, any excuse to get him out and it looks as if this was the final straw, the face just didn't fit with Charlie. I can see Coppell come in possibley now

I doubt Sven will have it yet - I reckon he'll get it when they're in the Championship/Prem. Someone like McClaren might not be a bad shout.
