9 -1 = 8 x 5 = 40 x 25 = 1000 -6 = 994 -2 = 992

Turn the six upside down, put it next to the other nine then add the 1 and 2 together = 993

It can be done if you use "to the power of" [^]

2 ^ (9 + 1) - 25 - 6 = 993

2 ^ 10 - 25 - 6 = 993

1024 -25 - 6 = 993

[But in Countdown I don't think you can use "power of"]
