what i liked best was the fine example from the school of Labour mathematics: we have £106Bn in, £85bn going here, £21bn going there, and somewhere £30bn is hiding. its like a magic bean growing in between the numbers (presumably he means its reserved in the £85Bn to welfare). then we have text book politician deceit: "Part of it could be the balance he’s advised to hold on to – but what’s the rest of it for?" do you not know Prescott? i bet you do, but it wouldn't suit the narrative to say so, if its less than all you'd bloody well have put a number there. then we have the new sound bite, about returning to the 1930s, when nothing of the sort is happening - government consumption is heading that way, but not government budgetary spending.

funny its exactly the amount of the NHS black hole. funnier though that even Balls hasn't found this £30bn for his spending plans.

Immigrants don't set wage rates. It's down to greedy penny-pinching bosses if fair wages aren't being paid.

No, the market sets the wage rate. Surplus workers wages go down. Too few workers wages go up. Simple market forces.

Today I listened to Ed Millibands speech on immigration. He wants to ban employers from under cutting our own workers, how is that going to work then? I'm confused on this point because you can't stop a self employed person coming from the EU and charging less

On top of that they talk about stopping benefits for two years, well that's not going to work either because the EU will stop that.

Labour have got it wrong because it doesn't address the main point here and that is the open borders with the EU. It's the numbers.
If they think they are going to reduce numbers they are kidding people, these plans will do absolutely nothing.

it looks good for them if they are seen to be concerned especially in the run up to the election. they think the public are silly.
both labour and tories are guilty of being euro fanatics... labour far more so. remember socialist is just a dressed up word for federalist.

Oh dear, simplistic 6th form economics from you then. You need to buy out the shares to bring it back under public ownership - utilities were SOLD not OUTSOURCED ! You really don't get economics do you ?

Attlee had the solution for nationalising industries , the shares are exchanged for treasury bonds. In the case of the railway franchises , once they expire they don't go out for re-tender which would cost nada.

There is a surplus. The duty of government is to look after it's most vulnerable. Renationalise the railway and electricity and you have more than enough cash. We found 150 bn to bail out the banks.[/

You need to catch up with the times...........renationalising anything is impossible.

Nothing is impossible which is why Scottish labour have reintroduced clause V

Governments also use unemployment to drive down the real value of wages, fail to prosecute employers who flout minimum wage legislation , deliberately undermine the ability of workers to collectively improve their lot, engineer the transfer of surplus value from wages to profit which is then allowed to vanish into the billions of the UK tax gap, etc, etc.

I have lost patience with both of the main parties and then supported the Liberals in the hope they would be needed by Labour or Torys, very disapponted with Clegg who did not reign in the Torys.
Given the chance I feel UKIP will ensure that whoever has to invite them to share power will have to pay attention to many proposals that the general public consider important.

Even by the standards of the average Kipper inbred that is gibberish.

In June HMRC named and shamed plus fined a grand total of 25 employers all around the UK for paying less than the minimum wage after workers had earlier phoned a confidential hotline.

I see you are brandishing more out of date policies from an already discredited source.
The main man responsible for that claptrap last year was fired.
If you want to update your knowledge on UKIP policies the most recent info is here

You may still dislike UKIP but at least you will be better informed.

I have to admit that I know of at least 5 people in my area that claim disability with a so called bad back etc.
Some of these people have never worked a day in their lives (unless it's for a bit of cash on the side) and know how to cheat the system.
It makes me very angry that they are taking money out of the welfare budget that is desperately need by more worthy cases.
How many times have you opened the newspaper recently to read about someone claiming disability and posting a video on Facebook of themselves Limbo dancing or some such nonesense?

Predictable Uber-Tory stuff. Blame foreigners for the failures of capitalism, cut taxes for the well off, slash services for the rest of us and hand over public assets to the usual collection of spivs.

Predictable Uber-Tory stuff. Blame foreigners for the failures of capitalism (I guess it is our brand of capitalism that is attracting so many to our shores. This can't be blamed on UKIP as they have to date not held the reins of power), cut taxes for the well off (By well off do you mean the people that run our businesses and pay our wages? Good, if they have more money to spend they might up my money.), slash services for the rest of us (It's called Austerity and it will happen whoever you vote in.)and hand over public assets to the usual collection of spivs (So far UKIP are they only party that has opposed TTIP which is the most assiduous misuse of Publicly owned property and services ever conceived.).

Your Move!
