Now we know we definitely won't play Man City on 23rd April can it be moved earlier? Plenty of mid week availability for us before then, but what about them?

Bloody glory boys. It’s not fair that their European priority is going to cause us problems with fixture congestion later in the season.

But also why did we wait so long to play Palace or reschedule the other games

To be fair, we might definitely be playing them on the 23rd April. Just in a different competition 🤣

I got my hopes up there, thinking a table like that might give just one or two likely Newcastle dates. Six possible Newcastle dates wasn't what I was hoping for

Good post nonetheless

Thanks that’s very useful.
If Newcastle is rearranged for either April 11/12 or 18/19 it would mean 5 Premier League away games in a row.

I think fixture congestion is going to screw us over this season.
Concentrating on the FA Cup could be our route to Europe. Just need to win three games in a row!
I completely agree. The league schedule is looking very tough right now.

No, it's good to get some practice of handling fixture congestion now, to get us ready for our European cup run next season... :ascarf:

Friday night?
It’s an international break immediately before the Brentford game. Moving it to Friday night (even if that is allowed) gives our players even further reduced recovery time, especially our Ecuadoreans who have to travel back from Australia.
