We are members.
I don't buy anything edible there - but get all our paper goods - toilet roll, kitchen roll etc and cleaning products there, sometimes dog food depending on the deals, stationary for the children. That sort of thing.
Supermarkets are often cheaper for food things with the BOGOF deals they do etc.
You can go into the main desk and ask for a pass to look around to see if joining would be worthwhile for you.

Yep - costs about £25ish per year as a trade member but you can get a personal membership. No complaints but be selective and don't expect to do a weekly shop there.
Prices generally pretty good - eg those 30g rip-off spice/herb refills from Schwartz that cost over a quid in Tesco etc; I bought a 400g catering jar (about the size of a jar of coffee) of Schwartz paprika at Costco last month for about £2.50.
There's not too many stores around either - ie our nearest one is at Reading next to the Madj which takes just over an hour in the car.
Finally, you can't use a credit card to pay - cash, cheques or Maestro/Delta only.

We're members too - go up to the Lakeside one about 2 or 3 times a year....Good for household supplies as other have said, also good if you're having a big party. Problem is that most stuff is in such bulk that you have to have an enormous cellar or pantry to store it until you get to use it. Also lots of things come in VERY large containers - juice, water etc...so you'll need a big fridge if you want to buy those sorts of things.....chicken meats come in 10kg packs etc which you'll need to divide up into smaller freezer packs to use...Our fairy liquid is in 1kg bottles, same with tomato sauce and clothes washing detergent is in a 10kg pack - far cheaper thna tescos!!
It is worthwhile but you'll get tempted to buy massive amounts of stuff so be sure you've got somewhere to store it or eat it before it goes off!!
Other bits and bobs are good - socks, tracksuits, film, tyres! fridges, tv's etc...

Bozza - mate of mine is a member of the one in Brizzle - which I assume is the one you will use - he does shed loads of shopping there and reckons its well cheap
