Coppell Wanted Asaba - The Truth

According to Si Rodger, when it was reported that Coppell wanted Iffy Onoura a few weeks ago, it was bollox becuase Coppell actually enquired about his team mate Carl Asaba who went to Stoke on a free on Monday. The stumbling block was Asaba's wages. Stoke offered him twice the money Albion did.
Coppell was offered Onoura as an alternative but was not interested.
