oops, you've gone and fallen for it, by voting or even suggesting voting for one or another you encourage this rubbish. Just say nothing and ignore it....deprive them of the Oxygen of publicity and it will wither

I know mate but I just can't help laughing at the panel just sitting there abusing poor old John. My wife on the phone to her daughter moaning how unfair it all is because John is still there.

John Sergeant is so crap its like his taking the piss. The man is a hero. Could destroy the whole programme

I like the cooking shows, but only the ones where you actually learn stuff about cooking, not the other glorified circuses, like Ready, Steady, Cook etc.

The the celeb shows you can keep. I deem the word celeb to be a term for someone who has no discernable skill whatsoever.

I saw the tiniest smidgen of celebrity scissorhands by accident the other night.
What a load of useless, self indulgent, no-hopers...I have NO TIME for them and hope they all get binned, cheap no-brainer TV, an insult to viewers in my opinion.

These two had the right idea...

I enjoy watching Strictly, the whole thing is great TV although whether Bruce Forsyth is worth £450K a year for his input is another discussion altogether.

As for the John Sargeant thing, I find the psychology of the voters fascinating. Basically, the same thing is happening now as happened a year ago with Garraway. The big question is at what point do the Sargeant voters stop voting for him to stay, and the extent to which new voters are attracted to vote for Sargeant because of the buggeration factor.

In some ways the fact he's sooo bad galvanises the British public in his defence. Remarkably, there have been 8 dance-offs and 8 celebrities kicked off, yet he's yet to figure in ANY of the dance-offs - that's 16 spots he's avoided! You could say that, earlier on, his dancing warrnated non-inclusion in, say, 2 of those, but realistically he should have been in about 6.

Rachel Stevens face was a picture this week, and as long as there are TV moments of gold like that people will still vote Sargeant.

It's television for thick birds and men have absolutely NO business watching any of it unless they are benders or mental.

Real MEN only watch Top Gear and the Discovery Channel. (Military, History and Dave are acceptable alternatives)

Long Way Down (even though they didn't get out of the UK), Top Gear (with the "apology") and Stephen Fry's American thing were great viewing last night compared to the dross of Saturday.
I left sweetheart at home watching the other crap (cos I'd have spoiled it for her) whilst I went to the pub like a proper man

Benders or mental...or married, perhaps.

One last point from me about Sargeant. Maybe people are voting to keep him in because Christina is bee-a-you-tiful, and God knows the show needs it after the recent losses of Lilia and Ola.

Way out west
I have a suspicion that the audience are voting to keep John Sergeant in, not just because he is entertaining, but also just to screw things up a little...much as I love the programme I think the viewers are starting to object to being told how to vote by the panel, or at least they try to influence the vote.

How long will he stay in the competition, my answer would be for as long as he can keep out of the bottom two, as soon as he has to dance off he will be history. For me the quote about him looking like "Whinnie the Pooh dancing with Tigger" just about sums it up, he is going out there and just trying to entertain, in that respect he is an undoubted success.
