Just like we will.Personally, I don't think lifeforms can get that advanced, they would have wiped themselves out long before developing FTL drives.

And if it is covering up the testing of secret military projects? Is that also a scandal, or a wise move to keep potential enemies guessing? If they are testing something new, something other countries haven't even considered or imagined, how would telling the world of its existence be beneficial, or the right move to make. The fact that governments are treating us like f... kids and covering up possible UFOs is a scandal. Who the f... do they think they are.
Errr not everything is down to secret military testing. And if it is covering up the testing of secret military projects? Is that also a scandal, or a wise move to keep potential enemies guessing? If they are testing something new, something other countries haven't even considered or imagined, how would telling the world of its existence be beneficial, or the right move to make.
Surely other countries, once they then hear of the attempts to develop or perfect that will set up a programme to create their own version and to develop counter measures. (Same way a lot of the western countries responded when they found out Russia and China had hypersonic missiles.
Far better to for the authorities to let people think they are UFOs from another planet than admit when they are actually doing, which also has the added benefit of maintaining national security.
