We gave Swansea a guard of honour a few seasons ago. So yes we probably would of done.

You have to accept that the unsporting behaviour started with Adkins and his comments and, it hasn't just been one comment. Look at his recent article apparently congratulating us but after each sentence saying well done there is another giving a reason. The ballboys, the number of penalties, the alleged fact that Soton is everyone's cup game etc etc. If you want respect then you need to earn it. A guard of honour would have been appropriate but Adkins (and let's be honest, it has nothing to do with the players decision especially if John Terry can do the same for Utd) to agree to but he chose not to. So don't throw a hissy fit when the players don't shake hands at the end.

You need to go back further but you chose not to. At the end of the day, we are worthy champions and after a week of partying and celebrating not surprising we lost. Unbeaten at Withdean would have been nice but the trophy and promotion are the only prizes worth anything.

All the Saints fans I've ever known have been decent enough and I'm sure that's largely the case. The atmosphere was solely stoked up by the Saints manager's repeated disrespectful comments throughout the season, otherwise I don't think we'd have been too bothered about the match at all.

As it was, when push came to shove, the extra edge of a team desperate for points made the difference today. Talking of shoves, how did Wood not get a penalty at 1-0?

Anyway, to adapt a rather tedious song Saints seem to like: "We don't care about you, we are the Champions, we don't care about you".
