Anymore news on PB leaving in 10 days.
Paul Barber's job is, principally, to raise money for the footballing side of the club. What the footballing side of the club then does with that money is largely out of his hands.
I'm not sure what you want from him here.
What happens to all those left over pies?
What happens to all those left over pies, Do they save them and sell them in shops?
*COUGH* Haggle
I know it is a two fold thing but I will not buy anything at the club until such time as money is put into the team to produce a winning team on the pitch or at least a team showing some signs of trying to win. If the club do their bit to ensure supporters are happy I will do my bit and spend money until then with the Div 1 approach as per the last few home games I will not.
I see, How much can you knock them down by. Next time I visit I'll wait till the end and try. Thanks.
He is the man in charge, especially when Tony Bloom is on the other side of the world so what I want from him is to remember that BHAFC is a football club above and beyond anything else and for him to start acting like the man in charge of our football club. I know he is responsible for raising the necessary funds for the footballing side of things so I'd expect him to keep an eye on where that money goes. If Burke has the final say on player acquisitions and our squad is 100% down to him then Barber needs to employ somebody who can spend his/our money more wisely. He doesn't have an easy job, granted, but the playing side is where he needs to focus his attention (Tony Bloom too).
Yesterday was depressing-more so about the number of empty seats all around the stadium and especially behind the South goal. That concerns me. If we were doing well that wouldn't be an issue but we're not and looking a million miles away from doing well.

I believe that all of Paul Barber, David Burke and Sami Hyypia report into Tony Bloom.
Same in WSU. Yesterday must have been a relative nightmare for Sodexo. Low sales and high wastage doesn't seem the ideal business model.the WSL bar (North end) where we always meet post game was virtually empty after the game, no queue and the pile of pies left was massive! People are voting with their feet! It did on the positive side mean that I got a decent pint of Harveys within about 30 seconds of ordering it!
That was the point.
What you're detesting is pointless - go and watch non league if that's what you want becsuseh thats what you'd get without corporate fans in today's game. Think of them as subsidising your seat or the players you watch, bit like a long haul aircraft with first class. These guys are keeping cattle class down to some extent which means 'we' can afford to go places we perhaps couldn't otherwise. Corporate is here to stay and provides valuable income the club couldn't do without these days. Hate them as much as you like but it's a bit like hating SKY - utterly pointless, they're too imbedded in the game. Besides, they have done some good you have to admit!
Yes, because Tony Bloom is taking our money and making a vast profit out of us.
Sake.
In which case he shouldn't be being paid 500k plus per year.
I thought he was the CEO - they usually do a lot more than that.....
This. The post you were responding to, was ridiculous. As has been pointed out on countless occasions, there 1901 members myself included, who are as passionate fans, if not more so than others elsewhere.
It's about choice, having sat in the South stand getting drenched as a family we decided to go corporate.
That does not make us any lesser or more a supporter than anyone else!
Bingo!
Fair play to Paul for talking himself into the role!
But as a fan that is a crazy salary. Most MD's running a company with a turnover our size would be pad less than half that.
Like Ken Brown was.
