We've been up to win the Cup for Sussex By The Sea !!

A great performance by the Glynde boys. Joe Adams deservedly Man of the Match for his 79 runs that set up the opportunity to win this. And a very special mention to Dale Tranter and Mark Beddis who contained Streethouse in the last eight overs with some superb, accurate, tight bowling - just what was needed after the opposition began to hit out with some decent slogs for sixes into the crowd.
A great day was had by all - from the packed train up to Victoria, through to the thrilling sight of lads that some of us have known since they were little kids delivering a very high quality game at the Home of Cricket.
And, of course, a trophy to take home at the end.
Well done Glynde!

Glynde and Beddingham have won the npower National Village Cup in front of their jubilant fans at Lord's.
In a match which ebbed and flowed, Glynde became the first ever Sussex side to win this competition when they beat Yorkshire side Streethouse by six runs.
Mark Beddis took two wickets in the penultimate over to leave the Yorkshire side needing 16 to win and they finished on 201-7
Joe Adams was the mainstay of the Glynde innings of 207-9 with a knock of 79 while Dominic Harris chipped in with a valuable 41.
Streethouse were threatening to run away with the game in reply until Dale Tranter struck struck with two wickets in three balls. Glynde then got on top, reducing their opponents to 98-5 before some big blows put Streethouse back in the hunt, setting up an exciting finish.
Having won the toss and asked Glynde to bat, Streethouse bowled tightly from the off and proved difficult to get away as the ball nipped around.
Dominic Shepheard went in the second over for four, caught behind by Paul Langley off the bowling of Stuart Bellwood.
Glynde added just one run in four overs before successive boundaries from Callum Smith got them going.
As confidence grew, Smith and Adams looked fluent as they added 70 for the second wicket before Smith succumbed to a return catch off Scott Bland for a well-crafted 32.
Adams, though, was well poised and reached his fifty with a single in the 22nd over before bringing up the 100 for Glynde one ball later. Adams' half century came off 68 balls in 77 minutes and included nine fours.
With Robbie Mouland, he added 49 for the third wicket before Mouland was leg before to Streethouse captain Richard Vigars for ten.
Adams looked well set for a century before being bowled by Vigars to leave the score on 134-4 at the end of the 30th over.
Dominic Harris and Ollie Bailey tried to push the score along, with Harris hitting three sixes in a great cameo knock, but late wickets tumbled to leave the game in the balance.
Defending a total of 207-9 from their 40 overs, Glynde got the perfect start when Shepheard had Jonathan Hughes caught behind by Stuart Mouland off only the fifth delivery of the innings.
However, Paul Langley and Callum Geldart took up the mantle as Streethouse raced to 54-1 by the end of the tenth over, well up with the required run-rate.
Tranter eventually broke a partnership which had reached 56 when Callum Geldart miscued a delivery and was caught behind by Mouland.
Tranter then made it two wickets in three balls when he trapped Martin Rhodes leg before for a duck before Shepheard clean bowled Mark Robinson to reduce Streethouse to 72-4.
The fifth wicket went down when Joe Adams bowled Paul McMullen.
Suddenly Glynde were back on top but the game swung again in the 32nd over when Vigars hit three sixes in one over from Ollie Bailey and opener Langley continued the assault by taking 12 runs off the next over from Adams.
With Streethouse now looking the more likely winners, Glynde brought back Tranter and Mark Beddis to stem the flow of runs and they responded in style.
Beddis claimed the wickets of both Vigars and Langley in the 39th over to hand Glynde the initiative and this time they did not let it go.

Difficult to say.
A few thousand - Glynde supporters mainly in the Mound Stand, Streethouse in the Tavern Stand and a good number of people in the Edrich Stand. Even a hundred or so MCC members turned up to enjoy the last competitive game of the season at Lord's.
Never mind the numbers, though. The atmosphere was brilliant.
