It could - should - have been us. We were light years ahead of Bournemouth even as Bloom and Poyet were chucking insults at each other and making us the best Championship team of the first half of 2013.

How we ****ed it up from there is a tale to tell.

But the B'mouth with their tinpot little matchbox stadium showed that football is always about the manager and the 11 players he has on the pitch at any one time - not about FFP, "premier league ready", award-winnng pies and all that shite. Good luck to them, massively jealous it wasn't us.
