Could be close in the Conference this year, Cambridge started well but got beat at home today. Can see Mansfield going back up, along with Burton Albion going up via the play-offs

I fancy Torquay to go straight up, possibly Cambridge through the play-offs...sadly for Burton another season as the perennial bridegroom.

went to Lewes today, quite a good game Cullip was commanding, they try to play through the midfield where DK's Nephew had a good game, with a bit more up front they could surprise a few people, best thing about it though was to go to a game and stand, safe standing has to be the way forward

Eastbourne got the highest gate in the league on Saturday over 3,100

Actually I think it was 2,100 - there was some misreporting in various places.

Still a huge gate though and Cambridge brought down a big contingent which added to the atmosphere. At half time their fans seized the North Stand (where the most vocal Boro fans stand) and tore down a flag before generally outsinging the home fans.

It was all good banter but highlighted, if it needed highlighting, the difference between the two clubs in terms of support. Eastbourne had very little stewarding and no police and there was no segregation. How much longer that will be the case is anyone's guess - hopefully the Priory Lane experience won't become too "football leaguey" because Boro is unashamedly a friendly community club which doesn't pretend it's bigger than it is.

Spoke to a Torquay fan last night. They are not very hopeful for the coming season. They can't work out what's going wrong - people blaming Paul Buckle already. Believe that last season was their chance and they stuffed it up.

...you want to try talking to Oxford fans (not always advisable) to hear stories of woe...they were banking on a quick return to the league...doesn't look like happening soon!!!
