He should have come here, as the country's first Player-Chairman.

We might have had to come up with a new song for Gary Hart though.

Posh Spice is a diamond
She really is a gem
And when she's shagging Harty
She thinks of David Beckham

That would have kept him happy!

f***ing disgusting.

Tremendous talent that the English game has lost to the yanks who dont even like football!!!

Still good luck to him and when people moan about the lack of British talent in the Premiership, we can all point at people like Wenger who would rather play some bloke from Sierra leone that nuture Englaish talent.

What on earth does Arsene Wenger's transfer policy have to do with Beckham preferring to go for the Hollywood lifestyle and "break America" rather than play for a real football team? ???

That American "soccer" league's not that bad at all, but he'll stand out a mile there.

who would he play in england though dave?

Fergie wouldn't have him back.
Mouriniho wouldn't play him.
Arsenal won't have him as he's white.
Liverpool, he wouldn't go there as he needs european football :lolol:

Brighton will sign him when he's 40! :clap2:

I agree with you tho, it's now ended a terrific national career. David Beckham is an incredible talent, f***ed over by that dick Fergie. Untied should have sacked him and kept Beckham.

5 year deal, to play til he's 37
wont play til he's finished his contract at real madrid

every team in the MLS has a salary cap of $500,000 dollars a month.
£200k a month, how much will he be on
I am sure he has got loop holes like huge sigining on fees and Image rights which is where he earns most of his money.

I always thought he might come back and play at Spurs. They seem to suit each other, plus the Becks have that massive house in Hertfordshire.
Shame really -- would have liked to see him finish his career in England. Decent bloke, I think.

i'm happy for him. McLaren's treating shockingly, he's done everything he could in England and with our press there's no way he'd move back here

They changed their rules recently.

"The move would not have been possible under previous MLS salary cap rules, which limited teams to an overall salary of about £1m per year, but a new designated player rule, already commonly known in America as "the Beckham rule", will allow each team to sign one player whose salary does not count towards that cap."
