Well?

I was a brownie. And a damn fine one too :lolol:

I got a STACK of badges to stick on my lovely brown uniform, which included all the essential ones for girls, principally House Orderly (cleaning/ironing), Sewing/Knitting and Cooking. Going to Brownies mainly seemed to involve dancing round a toadstool, the occasional church parade if it was Remembrance Sunday, and getting shouted at by Brown Owl for playing football in the Guide Hut.

So, did any of you go Scouting For Boys, as it were? What badges did you get (Camping, anyone?)?

And who's prepared to admit to having been a Beaver? :lolol:

I was a cub until my overprotective Mother became a cub leader thingy to keep an eye on me and embarrased the hell out of me so I left.

Cub, Scout, Cub leader at various times. Fairly hefty amount of badges at the two lower levels and a lovely scar from a tent collapse incident at the latter :(

8th Kildare, for those that give a f***. Sixer at both cubs and scouts. The I discovered alcohol :lolol: :lolol:

I was in the 1st Hurstpierpoint Brownies in fact.

The boys in the local cubs got to go camping outside each year. The Brownies, on the other hand, had to make to with kipping on the floor of Angmering Village Hall.

They made us bath in a bin  :lolol:

I was a Beaver (as opposed to now I'm just a cunt), and a cub, but by the time I was old enough to be a scout I'd realised it was a bit shit.

How soon is now?
Cub and then scout... I'm sure I heard a story going round a few years back that our cub leader got sent down for kiddy fiddling.. Thinking back he always looked a bit of a wrong-un, and his missus, 'kin ell she was a scary sort
We used to play Britsh Bulldog in the cubs and it was alright, when moving up to Scouts it was a whole different game - it paid to get out early!!

In a cave
I was in the cubs and then the scouts. Didn't stay in the Scouts long as the bloke that ran it was a sadistict wan*er and everyone I joined with had left within 6 months.

We only all joined as we played football as a cub team, moved on to scouts but then all joined a local team (this was when I lived in the Midlands for a few years)

Beaver, cub, scout.

Beavers had the boss tracksuits. Cubs was shit. Scouts involved playing football in a tiny room and smashing each other up.

I left Scouts asap.

What a load of shit.

Booooo!

I was a Sixer too, my six was the Gnomes (Brownies were so rock 'n roll).

Gave up on Guides after about three weeks though I think. They took an extremely dim view of football. Miserable bastards...

So I became a Junior Seagull instead, maybe it was a kind of substitute- no badges, but I did get to meet Danny Wilson...
