There are regular cries for help on NSC (I've asked a few times) and there is always somebody able to help. Kev's got his own forum-why not one for computer help?

Why is it that whenever people from NSC need computing help, they consult thier fellow Brighton fans, rather than somebody who makes a living from solving people's computer problems?

Because there's such a variety of people on here it's worthwhile trying NSC first before searching for another board to try.

Anyway when it comes to anything computer related we have several resident geeks. Including the incomparable MYOB

If people have a medical problem, they'll ask fellow Reading fans for advice, as opposed to somebody who could give them a thorough diagnosis...
For example, a doctor....

Doctors know Jack shit - I'd much rather take Kev The Apes advice.!

A doctor is free (NHS), solving people's computer problems means getting an 'IT' person to have a look and that costs chillings and crowns.

No. A seperate forum would mean nobody would see the cry for help and make witty responses that are of no relevance at all.
