As a veteran post reader, I have found myself in serious problems r.e my computer. I would appreciate some help from the techies on the board.
Basically my computer is f***ed. It is going so slow that it crashes half the time. When I try to download something the window crashes, when I click on 'My Computer' it crashes. More worryingly it has set my home page to an address that looks like an ISP - something liike 123.456.789 though I can't remember it off the top of my head. There are 2 icons that are on the desktop - 'Sex' and 'XXX' - I haven't been on porn for a good 6 months - 'Sex' leads to a Casino Plaza (gambling site) and I haven't cliked on 'XXX' fearing it will dial up to another network. However many times you delete them they keep coming back.
I have Imesh so I figured it would be spyware and I have downloaded Ad-Aware and Spybot Search and Destroy. This worked to remove other problems I had but not those I have mentioned before. Any advice on what to do. I can download software by opening 'from current location' so that would not be a problem. Please help.
