Five times oscar winner John Barry has died at the age of 77,Barry will always be remembered by being the music behind many 'Bond' films and countless T/V series. RIP.

Came from an era i believe that we are unlikely ever to see again. Barry Gray (died 1984) was another one that was well known for T/V scores much of which covered the Gerry Anderson style of programme.

One of the first movie soundtrack tapes I ever bought was James Bond's 10th anniversary edition , with Diamonds Are Forever ' being the latest movie at the time. Album came out about 1972.
One of the stand out main title themes of any film , not just Bond, has to be 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'. Absolute classic !!

Also reminds me how bad Never say Never Again was without the Barryesqe style Bond music . His themes were almost a character in themselves.
