It's OK though, it's being dealt with:

"Los Angeles Clippers players also signalled their displeasure at the comments, by warming up for their match on Sunday wearing their team kits inside-out in protest."

Phew.
:lolol: would have more respect if they went on strike, but that would cost them a few quid.

We both know there's not a snowball in hell's chance of that, and the bedwetters on here will be tripping over themselves trying to defend him.

The interesting thing is he actually didn't have a problem with what Sterling said.

He told black people to get over it. He said the owner should be able to have whoever he wants at the games.

This also got very little mention compared to others views.

It'll be interesting to see if Larry Johnson an employee of the Knicks and former player who tweeted there should be a blacks only league will be banned for his racist statement.
Racist or empowering?

Other than Billy-Bob, Billy-Ray, Billy-Doris & Cletus, who the hell would watch the whitey league?

Racist or empowering?

It's racist.

All you have to do is reverse the situation with other people and that becomes obvious.

To suggest segregation is empowering is only asking for others to then start excluding blacks again from a great many things.

Other than Billy-Bob, Billy-Ray, Billy-Doris & Cletus, who the hell would watch the whitey league?

It's actually racial streotype to think all blacks are great basketballers. :p

Most of the worst players in the NBA are also black.

Yet many of the Superstars of the league are white.

European Basketball popularity shows that people will watch "whitey" leagues.

I knew there'd be one, in fact on this board ,far more than one , who'd do his best to make excuses for a case of racism if it was from a black man, the blacks I know laugh at mugs like you.

In fairness to Larry, he was OK with what was said and what it implied.

Given his previous tweets it's possible he was slanting towards if you're going to come out and bitch and moan about this old guy then start your own league or stop ya moaning.

He'd need to clarify what he meant.

In isolation that's a racist statement from Larry Johnson. I'd imagine it was in response to this quote, referring to black players, from Sterling though:

'I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them? Do I know that I have—Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?'

Does LJ have a history of making racist comments?

LJ has a history of being a bonehead.

During the 1999 NBA Finals, Johnson characterized the Knicks as a band of "rebellious slaves." Bill Walton later called Johnson and his performance a "disgrace." When Johnson was asked about the play of San Antonio Spurs point guard Avery Johnson in Game 4, Johnson again shifted the topic to slavery: "Ave, man, we're from the same plantation. You tell Bill Walton that. We from Massa Johnson's plantation."

When you've got owners like Sterling saying things like the quote above, I can understand Johnson's attitude. America's a strange place.

The funny thing is that this guy has been the owner for 30 years, kept one of the worst GM's the NBA has ever seen on his books for 22 years(black man) and yet its only now basketball people are coming out shocked at what he said. I mean all of these outraged athletes are either really, really stupid or actually no, they are just really really stupid.
