Just read on the offical Euro 2004 site that we will have Collina to ref our game against Croita. A good move imo

Good, hope he gets a grip on the bleedin' Croats and their great diving and rolling around abilities.

Couldn't have asked for a better ref. Terrific news.

Lets hope our tackling is better then in the last two games then. Not sure Collinna would have let Ashley Cole kick the crap out of Pires or let Lampard and Scholes get away with some of their awful tackling. What odds on Rooney getting booked?

From TheFA.com
Collina has taken charge of many high-profile games, including England's 0-0 draw with Turkey in Istanbul that secured qualification for Euro 2004 and the 2002 World Cup Final.

He also officiated England's match away to Germany in September 2001 and the game between Argentina and England in the Sapporo Dome in the 2002 World Cup.

England Head Coach Sven-Goran Eriksson has previously said of the referee:
"Collina is a guarantee. He is one of the best in the world."

He also reffed the 99 champions lge final

This is his last tournament, isn't it? Before he's forced to retire by FIFA because of his age. Bloody stupid rule, that. They should just put them through regular fitness checks, like OAPS who want to keep on driving.

Is there no Fantasy Football on ITV after the game then, otherwise he'll struggle to be in 2 places at once? He looks like he knows how to handle the feather duster when he's been on so far.

That's about the only amusing thing in that show.
