As you may have gathered I have a lot of time for this band

A couple of random question. Do you enjoy watching Chris Martin dancing around and do you like it when he stops songs and does all that “you’re all beautiful” and makes everyone sing along.

The shows look cool, I just can’t get comfortable with Chris Martin’s antics. I’m assuming the fans must enjoy it or they wouldn't be in such demand.

Nope, I like that he showed empathy to a young band killed who he likened to early Coldplay and gave them a tribute at Glastonbury

I have no problem with him currying favour with an audience, beats Van Morrison’s total disdain for the people who paid to see him, however much I like his music.

Who on here is intending to go?

If I’m in the UK I’ll make an exception to my refusal to go to massive venue concerts, if I am lucky enough to get tickets, I think they are currently the world’s best large venue band and yes that includes the Stones, Springsteen etc

Liking their refusal to sell at dynamic pricing and the percentage going to grass route venues supporting up and coming bands.

I know they are probably NSCs most disliked band but I love a binfest, bring it on, interested to see how many of the posters I have earmarked to sneer about Coldplay pop up on this thread, there are quite a few of you I have in mind. :lolol:

My faves kicking back too at dynamic pricing. Just proves what a bunch of greedy arrogant twats Oasis are. Liam scoffed at the complaints and they tried to suggest they had no control. !

Unbelievable levels of support, more I understand in the queue than the much vaunted Oasis reunion AND breaking Taylor Swifts Wembley record.

Not often disappointed in you Zef
In the interests of balance and consistency I have an equal amount of respect for Oasis

both bands have professionally gone about their business, entertaining millions whilst earning millions without actually flexing any single artistic muscle Or originality. Merely confirming how Magnolia most peoples musical taste actually is.

Edit. They have both come up with a few catchy tunes.

Just my opinion, I'm sure tens agree and tens of millions don't, and that's the way I like it.

Blame the bots.

Some good info in this...

Bots are a problem but this post is not accurate (and they know it). You cannot bot Ticketmaster these days as you have to log in and go through an OTP to join the queue. You can multi-account, of course, assuming you have enough emails/sims to verify your logins, but you can't bot it.

You can however bot See Tickets/Gigsandtours who also sold Coldplay stock today - and it was botted hard. Didn't get a look in.

Interesting. What's their plan to stop the bots - force the gov to close the resale websites?
I think we need legislation to make the resale of tickets above face value a criminal offence. The technology is difficult to beat with professional scalpers and promoters diverting tickets to their own resale sites as it is. Remove the excess profit and you bring this to an end.

If people cannot make the show then they should be able to list those tickets with the original seller who can then resell them at face value, possibly with a small admin fee to cover any costs involved in facilitating this.

It won't make getting tickets for high demand shows any easier, Coldplay and Taylor are always going to be utter binfests but at least you would be up against other fans for the tickets.

Touts are parasites

I fookin love their somewhat maligned X&Y album, one of the few CDs I still own.

Agreed (if you take White Shadows as the opening track and go from there). Class.

Personally didn't even try for tickets, would have been futile. Amazing live though, I'd see them again if they did a much bigger UK tour without the inevitable ticketmaster binfest that I guess happened
