Is anybody getting the train to Colchester this coming Monday?

How much has the ticket cost you and how long will your journey there and back be?

Cheers

Train journey home dont look to bad, except for a 11 minute Bus Journey from Ilford to Newbury Park. If you lot all go, I'll defiantly come. :drink:

Anyone found anything on where to park on Monday, says there is a free bus from Bruff Cove, is that a park and ride. Being a Bank Holiday perhaps parking restrictions may not apply!

Parking at the ground for 600 cars at £5

That is unlikely:

MATCHDAY CAR PARK PERMITS
Please note that there is only limited car parking at the stadium itself, with just under 700 spaces in the main stadium car park.

These are available on a match by match basis at the cost of £5 per car from the Scunthorpe game onwards, but must be pre-booked via the Ticket Office by calling 0845 437 9089.

Visiting supporters are able to pre-book a car parking permit, but only limited numbers will be made available to travelling fans, so early booking is advisable.

there is a park and ride. we were just there this past weekend and i didn't use it but you can park round by layer road and a business park whose name i have forgotten then a shuttle bus will bring you the new ground.

i think you use the bus tickets attached to your match ticket but like i said, didn't use it so not sure but there were plenty of shuttle buses going back and forth.

it is residents permit only around the new ground and people were getting parking tickets when we were there.

we parked near the train station and caught the free bus to the ground and back with no problems.

or if you are near rapid electricals they charge you £2 to park there for the afternoon.

Well, yes, but how far out of town is the ground? Is it walking distance or is getting a bus the only option?

If your taking the car you can actually book a space in the stadium car park, there are around 60 alloted spaces for away fans i believe, but you have to book a space! (no Shyte). other than that they operate a park and ride system from near the train station, there is also a taxi pick up and drop off point at the ground. Walk ? ? perish the thought
