I thought that The Albion are doing there own in house catering and have appointed a catering manager, therefore there should ne no rental involved, but obviously they have to run at a profit.

This is something I am completely in favour of, supporting a local producer of a quality product...if people start making a pilgrimage to the shop then maybe their availability will spread further. We lost our only decent pasty shop in Gloucester a couple of years ago...plenty of room for a piglet pie shop!
