Cliff Morgan RIP

Sad news - a fine gentleman and superb rugby player and broadcaster. Sport on Four used to be the highlight of my journey to school on Saturdays (going to Ardingly we had Saturday school).

It certainly is. My wife and I met him in our Dublin hotel a couple of years back when we were there for an Ireland vs Wales game at Croke Park. A very approachable, gentle and humorous man; the singing, led by my wife after a Wales victory and another England disaster at Murrayfield, went on long, long into the night.

Not old enough to remember him as a player, but fondly remember him as my first team captain (opposite 'Enry Cooper) on QoS.

RIP
