Veteran Claridge joins Gillingham
Gillingham have signed veteran striker Steve Claridge on non-contract forms.
Claridge, 39, recently trained with Sheffield Wednesday after being sacked as Millwall manager in July, but was not offered a deal by the Owls.
He could make his debut for the Gills, his 14th League club, against his first League club, Bournemouth, on Saturday.
The Gills have also signed Trinidad and Tobago defender Brent Sancho, 28, on a two-year contract after finally obtaining a work permit for him.
Sancho had spent time on trial at Kilmarnock and Brighton during the summer after leaving Dundee at the end of last season.

I appreciate that can can come out with some rubbish, but he is a friend of a friend; I have met him on several occasions and he really is a nice bloke.
