The season has arrived. What is your favourite go to Christmas film with a lot of dross over the years to be fair ? Has to be national lapoons christmas vacation for me

A couple of weeks ago we watched Home Alone and Home Alone 2 … still great, especially the first.

So many to choose from …. perhaps A Christmas Carol, the 1951 version with Alastair Sim.

National Lampoons is a great film.

I like Polar Express, Muppets Christmas Carol, and Scrooged.

I can’t stand Elf because Will Ferrell makes me feel physically sick. Genuinely. I can’t even look at him. With his dense skin and pubey hair.

Ugh.

Well. We all know this thread will elicit all the usual “aren’t I a smartass twat” responses sucks as Die Hard, Batman Begjns and Lethal Weapon etc.

Which are not Christmas films. They are films set at Christmas. All great films of course.

Violent Night- saw it couple days ago- think home alone meets die hard -all the comedy violence but with realistic consequences-santas body count is impressive by the end-NOT for Kids

I think Nativity with Martin Freeman is an excellent film.

I haven't even seen the first 2 yet, jumped straight to this on the Firestick. I was not disappointed.
