I'm guessing that for the striker role it is either this guy or no-one, unless there's some tasty free agent out there.

Naylor reporting we remain interested:
"Graham Potter is still seeking to boost his front line after Neal Maupay’s departure to Everton, with Fiorentina forward Christian Kouame a possible loan-to-buy option."

This signing would hopefully provide strength and power in our forward line the way Welbeck does.
It will allow others to play around him, but hopefully our fans will recognise he's not a prolific goalscorer (similar to Welbeck in that regard).

Barrow has the edge on both goals and assists. I’m hoping we can get him over the line but happy with Kouamé if we can’t.

He got the equaliser for Fiorentina against Juve yesterday. Both club and player will probably be glad he did not move. Contract expires in two years. Maybe we’ll try again next summer.

This is happening a lot now. If we weren’t signing the likes of Caicedo you’d be worried we simply aim to high, but clearly amongst the failed signings we’ll find the odd gem. It’s very positive.
