I see he is available on a free from Watford. During his Burnley days he was a real handful at this level.

I for one think he would be a good free signing. Could do a job for 6 months...

I know what you mean but I think we should be looking more long term if possible.

We don't just need anyone who is big, we need someone that can fit in with how we play. So not Iwelumo.

No he wasn't, he was described as a 'donkey' by the fans.

While it was a dreadful mistake to let him go when we did, that doesn't mean we should try to re-sign him now. Time has moved on, we have as a team, and he has as a player. he is no longer teh player we need IMHO.

Not really, but if a choice between him and Kitson, then C.I. is lesser of two evils.

Was okay during his time with us without being spectacular. He really came good during his time at Wolves - They had the best of him. We could do worse but also do very much better too.

Would have had him back 5 years ago but not know. We want to IMPROVE the squad.

He's at the wrong stage of his career,he turns 34 as the season starts . Would see him moving to lower standard - league one, MTL or Crystal Palace.

I saw him play for Watford yesterday in Lloyd Doyley's testimonial and he was pretty poor...His inability to bring the ball under control in any circumstances was shocking.

Zola seems to be introducing an Albion style passing game and has therefore deemed that Iwelumo will not fit into this system and is releasing him...So I guess we should look elswhere too. That said, I would take him over Carlton Cole any day of the week...The thought of CC pulling on the Stripes is one I dread.

Albion & England forever.

You are not being serious obviously as Carlton Cole would be a much better investment and bet than Chris Iwelumo.
