...apart from the fact James Rodriguez plays up top for them. After everything that happened involving Bong at the Hawthorns last year that would seem a large stumbling block. Especially as Rodriguez has scored 20+ goals the season just gone. Celtic maybe a more likely move considering his past R.O.I involvement. We shall see. Good luck to him.

I don't think Chris will rush into his next job but that would likely mean going to a struggling club just as he did here. That said I'm sure Boro would look to him as a possible replacement for Pulis

I don't think we have any right to call Moore's sacking bizarre after what we did. All the baggies fans I know were pleased he went and said it was the right call, despite the wider football world's incredulity, and we find ourselves in a very similar position

Anyway too soon for CH I reckon. I'm sure he'll want to take a shot on another PL job first. If he ends up in the championship again my money is on Leeds near Christmas time

Fair point. I hadn't been following/watching WBA too much to know what was going on. The position in the table when he was sacked (4th) made it bizarre for me on the surface of it. But then you could say they same for Hughton not getting us relegated I guess?

I was amazed when I heard him on radio 5. He sounded like he knew it was coming and thought it was the correct decision. He didn't quite manage 'I deserved to be fired' but he got nowhere near 'it was a bit early and a bit unfair'.

It is often said that it is futile to comment on other people in their personal relationships, or take sides when people split up, since only those involved really understand what happened. The same is surely true over football managerial relationships. Yes, sad to see CH go but I have no reason whatsoever to question the chairman about it, even if the next appointment doesn't work out. Any of us who have ever split up with someone and had subsequent relationships will understand that.

Was this not more behind, His assistant going off and agreeing to become Lutons boss behind the clubs back and Moore sticking by him and refusing to give him the boot?

But from the outside looking in, it is not always that clear, much like us sacking Hughton.

Being an honourable man with a conscience he'll know his coaches are also out of work but on a lot less than him, so I fully expect him to take the first decent opportunity that comes his way.

He is now something of a Championship promotion specialist but can add to his CV something that Warnock can't - which is his ability to keep a team in the Prem as well as get them up. I don't think Bielsa or Lampard will be leaving Leeds or Derby regardless of what happens so Chris is looking now at West Brom, possibly Swansea, possibly Middlesbrough.

I expect him to get the West Brom gig in the next 7 days. He's odds on favourite for the job at the bookies.
