The legendary quiz genius and general good egg has sadly died aged just 77.

Chris had a dry wit and will ever be remembered for his many appearances on Eggheads.

Especially knowledgeable about trains iirc.

Must admit I found him irritating. Stated his guesses as if he knew the answer rather than guessing. Then professed surprise when he was wrong. But hey, RIP Chris. All part of the Eggheads fun.
