I thought that it was Cambridge that let it out. We then confirmed as it would have looked even worse if we'd said nothing. I think we've done quite well this month - nobody was predicting Calderon or Painter until they arrived.

I think people are being quite limited in there views on this. Cambridge are in the shit - they need as much money as possible. Of course they are going to make it public if it means they'll get more cash.

Had you heard of Beckford before he went to Leeds or to a lesser extent Murray, Kuipers, Zamora before they came here (I know they were not non-league but still playing a lower level of football). Non-league players can come good and can work out to be bargains. Whether he does is something that it seems another club will find out but the fact a few clubs are chasing him must mean he has something about him.
