...I set mine for 6.30, so I could have a shower and make some breakfast before the start...fool!

Why didn't his team call him in earlier, they knew that his pace had fallen right off and his tyres had gone...they have cost him points, just like they did at the Nurburgring...Ferrari wouldn't have been so stupid!

All on the last race then, drama to the last and as it stands at the moment one of 3 can still win the Championship. Not great for Hamilton but makes for a fantastic finale.

Would he have had enough fuel to complete the race? It appears Alonso did.

Not sure of the relevance - his tyres (or at least one of them) were completely shagged. He'd been struggling to keep the car on the road for some time and had slowed considerably.

There's every chance that, rain and tyre implications aside, Alonso and Hamilton may have had different pit strategies.

It seems Hamilton may have made one of the only mistakes he's made this season, coming into the pits too fast on bald flakey tyres, and was big enough to admit to it soon afterwards. If he wins the Championship now he'll have done it the difficult way - 1st 2nd or 3rd in Brazil will do it I think?

No wonder Hamilton was angry, it was obvious he should have come in earlier for tyres. It's not as if he had to win the race, just finishing in front or Alonso would have done.

...which is precisely why McLaren should have called him in earlier, they monitor such things...even the uninitiated amateur would have noticed that his lap times had fallen away sharply.

He would have had some input into the decision. I think both he and the team were waiting to see if the rain had actually stopped and left it too late, can't blame the team for his error on entry into the pit lane either.

He obviously wasn't happy to just finish ahead of Alsonso either, some of the blocks on Raikonnen were madness for a man who didn't have to win as he could easily have taken himself or Raikkonen out by not giving way to a car that was obvuously quicker. I don't think the guy does 2nd under any circumstances which is why his rise has been so meteoric I guess
