You're wrong. The calculation of poverty is being redefined. I therefore expect things to "improve."

this goverment is going to make the poor even poorer
can you explain why children from working families are in poverty?.....or is that to difficult for you to understand?

Pretty obvious to most I`m sure...........it`s because they/their parents have not got enough money.

Rather than a "oh god the worlds gone to hell and rat shit" post - can you provide SENSIBLE facts to back your statement?

Oh no another "look at this" post! All that shows, without any other meaningful data, is that rent has increased above wages. It doesn't support an increase in child poverty. It could show, rather unsurprisingly, that demand for housing in the UK is exceeding supply.

or you could go and look at the BBC news site, that explains it in very simple terms

And that's poverty? Any charts to show how peoples spending has changed over the past 40 years? My parents never ate out in the 70's or had holidays abroad were they in poverty? no!
Too much cash around and crap to buy, just look at all the fat slobs stuffing 4 times their share of resources down the gullet. The supermarkets are about 70% stuffed with non needed food items.

As for food banks:tosser:

And Labour as well, they are all responsible for what's going on in this country today.
There are too many people in this country and we are heading for over population.

I would not disagree, but the tories are in power now, and they cannot blame anyone else

I agree the Tories are now in power and it doesn't seem to get any better. It's time for a new order in this country.

You mention the rich list..then you don`t give it a tinkers cuss.................Surely if we climbed higher in the rich country list we could afford to pay more benefits to these children in poverty.......Or would you prefer we go down the Greek route and spend ,spend, spend enjoy it while we can and bollocks to ten years down the line..

Before any meaningful discussion on the subject you need a definition of "poverty". Somehow I very much doubt that there are many children in this country living in what I would call poverty.

1 in 4 births are to immigrants parents:moo: A few more mouths to feed and house:eek:

Without going to off topic in the end it just means there is less opportunity for all, and we end up with more and more poor people. Over population, useless governments and greedy people is the reason for all our problems.
