Paid a cheque into my account yesterday morning. My online bank tells me my balance is as if the money had gone in but my available money is as if it ain't.

I know there is a period of 'clearing'. Do ya reckon it will clear today. It's just I fancy a few jars later but can't afford it if it doesn't go in today.

Help me get drunk innit.

Depending on which bank you are with will take either 3 or 5 days to clear. The "true" banks like HSBC, Lloyds and Barclays do it in 3, but the old Building Socitys take 5 for some reason.

btw thats working days. So if you paid it in yesterday will not be clear to either Monday or Wednesday.

To be honest it's probably a blessing in disguise. Got that Charity game tomorrow and should probably remain sober for it so I don't DIE in the heat.

Co-op are doing 8 cans of Carling for a fiver. Which would leave you a quid for some Doritos and a Lion Bar.

You might struggle to get pissed though.
