Makes it even more depressing that we've fallen so fast so quickly....

My Swindon fan has just been talking to me about how well her team played today, and how good it is to be out of the bottom 4 again.

Is it fundamentally wrong to post the video and spoil her buoyant mood? Especially considering I'm spending a day with her on wednesday?

All them games were when Mark McGhee was in charge and he was sacked because we were 8th in the league and had lost the fans.
He kept us in the Championship which Coppell failed to do and was also made to sell all our best players, just look how well weve done since his departure!

Sacking McGhee was not a mistake. You could argue that, like Adams, he waited too long, but not that McGhee should have stayed. We'd have been where we are now that season if McGhee had stayed.

People who defend knights mistakes are idiots. He has f***ed up majorly with first McGhee and now Wilkins. Sacking those two were the two biggest mistakes he has ever made at this club.

I didn't like McGhee, but I agree with you completely. He was right to sack Jeff Wood, Martin Hinshelwood and now Micky Adams. But McGhee and Wilkins were managing this club well and getting more out of us than perhaps they should have, but you only see that when you remove the manager. I don't doubt that Dick regrets the sacking of Wilkins, perhaps not McGhee because I don't think they got on overly well did they, anyone remember?

I do think it was Dick Knight's decision to make though, like at the end of this season. I think it's his decision whether Russell Slade keeps the job or not, and though alot of people have lost faith in his decision making, I think he'll make a decision which he fully believes is in the best interest of the club, and that will be good enough for me personally.

I disagree with that. We had lost three games that season but only one was a bad performance. I think we would have done better that season than under Wilkins and maybe pushed for top 6 last season. There is no proof of what I am saying just as you cannot say we would be where we are now under McGhee. However, lets look at where McGhee and Wilkins are now.

We were awful against Crewe, and Bristol City. We were not great in our victories/draws. In fact thinking about it the start of that season and this season are almost spookily alike, rubbish signings, decent results but rubbish performances that clearly would lead to much worse results.

I'm not sure what Wilkins has to do with it, where he is now even less so, comparisons to McGhee are vaguely ridiculous given the differing circumstances.
