How long has it been since one of those games, where we're a goal down after 10 minutes .... The opponent waste time and shithouse mercilessly, with the hapless officials utterly indifferent and the crowd going splenetic .... however .... breakthrough .... we score on 75 mins. Incredible, we score again soon after.

All of a sudden ... Martinez, or Leno or Pickford or whoever are racing to get the every ball ...... But this time the shoe is on the other foot ..... there is no ball for the goal kick ... the crowd is holding onto it and the ball boy is about 4 and looks confused. The manager "accidentally" over hits a pass to the oppo to take a thrown in. They are livid and the manager takes the booking. Time runs out and justice ...... delicious delicious justice .... is served.

Surely the most satisfying of football matches. A smile on your face for a week type match?

When was the last one? Feel like ages

I don't know when the last one was but the new player collects ball from the cone rule means all of that tomfoolery with the crowd and ballboys will be a thing of the past. Boo Premier League boo!

Your mate is in denial (or possibly partially sighted?). The guy (Martinez, rather than your mate) is an absolutely horrific, snide, weapon.

And I disagree with the other poster above who declares that 'if he were ours, we'd love him'. I for one wouldn't - he's a total prick.

The most accurate post in this thread.

That isn't 'guaranteed' at all, is it? He'd only be timewasting IF they were winning.
I'm not sure that's true. In last season's home match I distinctly remember him timewasting when they were a goal down early on. I couldn't work out whether it was because Villa were so confident that they were going to equalize that they were getting their timewasting in early or if it was such an ingrained habit in their away matches that they couldn't stop themselves.

No idea what the score was at the time, but I distinctly recall him in front of the NS goal a couple of seasons back, diving to his right to gather a routine save, with nobody near him, and staying down like somebody had taken a hedge trimmer to his lower intestines.

I was utterly AGOG at the leverage the ref gave to allow "treatment" to this pathetic, mithering, timewasting goon, and have utterly despised him and his clown antics ever since.

I live in hope that at some point, someone causes this specimen a serious REAL injury. Hopefully Dunk will break his arm and he goes off needing oxygen. At least that'll shut that insufferable prick up for a while.

We know what's coming.

One nil down after 8 mins from a defensive mistake.

Time wasting begins.

We equalise in the 82min and go on to secure a 1-1 draw.

The ground is empty on the completion of 8 mins added on for time wasting and there's a quiet round of applause to the players from the lickers left in the ground.

De Zerbi goes home chucking to himself and ringing his agent to see if he has mentioned injuries in the post match presser to have no effected his reputation.

And repeat...

With a WC winners medal....

Did you think Maupay was a 'total prick' after his antics V Palace when he scored 'that' goal?

Fully expect us to be 2-0 down within 30mins. First, an OG by Dunk. 2nd by Watkin’s after an appalling and needless 27 passes in and around our box before being given straight to him. Oh, and VAR should have ruled it out too but guess what? They didn’t. And the next day we get an apology.

Yeah I'm trying to look on the bright side, as well.
