What chatroom? The NSC one or the Rivals one? I'm a bit of a Rivals chatroom vetran so I don't think I could make the move very easily - someone sell me the idea.

Rivals is a complete waste of time. Paid a very quick visit to the message board yesterday. Still the same old stuff, various rivals fans wishing death upon Britbyte, and him replying with the same old retorts ("at least I'm not shagging my children, my semen-swallowing friend" etc). The only time it stops is when Britbyte and Zippy engage in a bit of in-fighting.

All quite amusing in a funny sort of way, but highly embarrasing at the same time.

are there actual hard-coded IRC servers for the chatrooms (e.g. irc.something.net:6667, #nsc or like), because I don't have Java and I'm not getting it... but I do have an exeptionally good IRC client

correction, I'll get Java if someone working for Sun Microsystems or IBM goes into their code vaults and provides me with "J2SE 1.3.1 for BeOS" or "IBM Java for BeOS 1.3" which I cannot get my hands on otherwise....

Rivals was my chatroom of choice last season. The Rivals message board has run its course and, like most people I guess, I now never visit it.

The quality of a chatroom is 95% down to the quality of the participants. Now that NSC has its own chatroom, I'll certainly give it a try - starting this evening.

But I know I'll end up wherever the best conversation can be had.

Never been to a chatroom before so I've just been to have a look at the NSC one. It was like walking into an empty pub.

I cant get it to work! tried a refresh but the area where the chatroom is I just get the little red cross in the upper right corner! I've got all my settings correct and have Java enabled...HELP!
