okay, this is one for the nerds.

not long ago i was in another brief conversation about following a league football team away from home. and as always the age-old topic of how i was getting on in the '92 stakes' came up. again, as always, i replied with the same old "oh, i think i've done about 50" response, to face the usual gloats from people who can still remember the leaky roof at the victoria ground.

so i thought i'd figure it out. and one particularly boring day at work i fixed to sit down (which was lucky, as i was already seated) and do it. with the help of soccerbase.com i started to chart all the gorunds i'd been to, and the date at which i'd visited them. i have been ruthless - only including the current 92 grounds of the current 92 clubs (so no goldstone for me). a couple of them are educated guesses, but i'm pretty confident they're not far out.

i invite other bored souls to do the same.

Can't quite work out exactly how many that is on your chart.

Based on your rules 49 for me.

You havent been that ruthless. Surely its the current 92 grounds of the current 92 clubs YOU'VE SEEN THE ALBION AT!!

For me 70 (plus 5 not seen Albion at).

I've managed 99 grounds, not all in the Football League, not all to see the Albion. My Albion total is 84 grounds, of which 65 are current football league gronds.

Looks like we share our first away trip, Utd in 93  Expect there are more here who can say that.

I thought my list wasn't too bad at 37 (38 with the Goldstone). But under your rules I lose Oxford, Cambridge, Mansfield and York; and Cardiff, Leicester, Doncaster, Hull and Shrewsbury because I've only been to their old grounds; leaving a mere 28.

i don't think you need to have seen a certain team play at a ground to say you've been to it?? and with the albion i'd spend the rest of my life never achieving that probably.

that said, i know some people who say you can only say you've been to a ground if you've seen a GOAL there!
