Isn't Day Save only on Southern routes?
Don't forget to get to Charlton requires the use of South Eastern!

Park up at Dingwall Road NCP just down the road from East Croydon Railway Station - Train/Tube/Bus pass costs about seven quid each for all zones from there

Some advice if you haven't bought the day save before. Make sure if you're buying online that you do a week in advance otherwise you can't purchase for the correct date. As others said London bridge - Charlton there aren't any inspectors + barriers to go through.

Advance singles to london victoria. £3.90 each if I remember correctly, or £2.50 each way with 16-25 railcard. Then return from clapham junction to charlton. Works out about £12-£15 for adult or for me it was £8 on a railcard.

Edit: Just seen theres four of you so yeah one of the deals would work out cheaper.

If you are getting a direct train to London bridge from Brighton/Where ever else you can get to the platform for the train to Charlton without going through any barriers. Even if you were to go through the barriers at London Bridge (for drinks ect.) just use the tickets coming from Brighton they won't know any difference

Not that I am suggesting that you should skip fares. There are no barriers at either Westcombe Park or Charlton at the moment. Merely a swipe point for the Oyster card. I have lived here (Charlton) for 8 months and never been checked for a ticket - I do however pay for every journey.

Brighton to London Bridge - London Bridge to Charlton will not see you go through a barrier other than the one at the start of the journey.

There are barriers at London Bridge if you wish to leave the station.
