Great news to see Charlie back in training and his possible return on the pitch against Worthing....

It all is being hyped up and people generally sound excited about the prospect of him returning.....and even wilkins cant wat to get him what it seems..back in the team if possible....

I agree it is good to see him return to the fold....but he is getting on now...he will be a good influence to have back on the training pitch...but why does wilkins come across like he has a player coming back who will change the entire team.??

Gary hart on the other hand has been a bit part player under the previous 2 managers.....more so wilkins..who wouldnt give the guy a sniff....granted a little bit of pace has gone...but last season it seemed he would have rather have played Mayo at right midfield than give harty a go...

The guys always given 100% on the pitch..will run all day and night..chase stuff down....and that sort of commitment cannot be turned down...imho his name would be on the teamsheet first...a proper model pro for this club for nearly 10 years..

Bring back OGH!

Oatway could be an asset on the pitch, he's not afraid to put himself about to win the ball and his leadership qualities will be very useful with all the youngsters we have. Of course there is a big question mark over his fitness and what, if anything, he will have lost as a result of the injuries, but he COULD potentially be a very useful player for us.

I agree, this points to us having a problem right side as I can't see DW playing GH , means we have Reid (CM returning from inj) + Robinson (yet to do in favoured position let alone RW )

To expect to be challenging we simply have to have more options here and certainly not rule OGH in the way he was last season

If DW expects hart to be bench warming all season..giving him the last 10 here and there.....it will be such a waste of a decent right winger in this divsion....as far as im concerned at this very moment on the right side...we have no-one who could do a better job.

Robinson - No way
Revell - did ok..but looks better up front
reid - rather have him in CM
Cox - left not right

at this level i'd expect to see OGH given more of chance.

just think wilkins doesnt rate him...just like he doesnt like kuipers and id put money on the fact that kuipers isnt in goal come the kick off at crewe...two mistakes as far as im concerned....two very good expierienced players at this level..who have been there and conquered this div

DW cannot scream....well there only kids..when two seasoned pro's are left out

Kuipers should be our no. 1...

We should invest in a right winger... OGH lost too much pace

All of above, IMHO...

All the very best to Charlie. Must have been an absolute nightmare for the bloke, being the wrong side of thirty with a family to support, and carrying a long-term injury and signed to a club severely strapped for cash. Nice that it's got a happy ending.

Well, we're still to see how happy it will be. He's only on a 3 month deal to prove his fitness at the moment IIRC.
