he IS crap.

Im sorry but i cannot take it anymore...i dont care how his form has been or what a vital part of the club he is.

Charlie Oatway is possibly the worst midfielder i have ever seen.
Please someone tell me why he plays ahead of Hammond and Nicolas???

Also...can someone tell me one good thing he did today?

and while im at it...what kinda leader was he today?!?!?! he went absent for the whole game!!

Did you not see Harding today?

I think Charlie has been excellent this season but today looked lost and the game passed him by leaving Chippie to hold the midfield together on his own.

As Chippie tired, Forest came more and more into the game and we relied more and more on the hoof up field.

Charlie is allowed an off day though. His performances this season have been far better then anyone could have expected of him.

There is also the issue that Andy Reid is an excellent player and was pulling the strings the whole match, despite being a fat bastard.

Oatway has been outstanding in our previous four or so games. That's why he should be playing ahead of Nicolas. If it 'aint broke dont fix it and all that. Sod it if you don't care about form, but that's one of the reasons he's in there TRFD.

Anyhow for what it's worth i think Charlie is a great leader, good at encouraging the team, keeping their heads up. And he's not in the team for his passing ability before someone mentions it. He's there because he gets stuck in in the middle of the park.
Today he didn't have the best of games, but did anybody?

I don't think anyone believes Charilie is a great player, but he has been very committed all season and is a key part of the club as he helps to create the great togetherness of the squad, which has allowed us to overperform so far this season.

I agree with all the comments

i am honestely proud of the way oatway has been performing this season.

but he is crap. if he is better than hammond or nicolas they MUST be released!!

what i would say though is that if hes in the team for his tacking why doesnt he make any tackles??

maybe i know f*** all about football but to me this is blatantly clear.

He did nearly cost us a goal when he charged down that free kick and it was retaken.

BUT

He is a legend. A good leader and playing out of his skin. Today was a worrying blip but hopeully no more then that.

Are you having a laugh? He had a quiet second half that's true, but who the hell was that bloke picking out the 20 to 25 yard passes in our midfield for much of the first half? Apart from the outstanding Reid, Charlie was the only one of our players to compete on level terms with the Forest midfield.
