Hilarious. I feel if I laugh too much my head will fall offWhen did Shrewsbury ever win the league three times in a row??
Look up Uwara Reds - We Are Diamonds on YouTube…. (Sorry, can’t paste)
It’s got two pubs, a garage and a chippy….oh Telscombe Cliffs is wonderfulYou can’t sing “oh Telscombe Cliffs is wonderful” now the Wimpy has gone.
I enjoyed the ETFC version recently...It’s got two pubs, a garage and a chippy….oh Telscombe Cliffs is wonderful
Knock knock. Whose there? Iza. Iza who? Iza knock kneed chicken and a bow legged hen, we ain’t lost a fight since we don’t know when......Currently I will admit to being a fan of MoK at the City Ground.
I remember being on the North Stand pre-match sometime in the mid 90s (with @Garry Nelson's Left Foot?) with some random wizened and gnarled veterans of the 60s/70s educating us on the "Knock Kneed Chicken" song, and part of me laments that ditty not enduring through the decades. At the time, our teenage selves thought it sounded f***ing stupid, mind.
If only we could all agree on one version and all knew the words!!On Saturday it struck me again what a great song we have. I mean, other clubs also have great songs, including Anfield. But GOSBTS is one to be proud of.
One for you Dave:
My second team, Frankfurt
Pipi Long stocking theme tune.
from about 20 seconds, crazy atmosphere, one of the best I have experienced to be honest.
Frankfurt, Bad Sobernheim, Bad Kreuznach areas are where some of my family came from, some of them came to London in around 1850.Also my second team, I live about 15 miles from Frankfurt.. Is one of my favourite chants from them...
It's quite possible you were amongst the wizened and gnarled veterans instructing us 90s whippersnappers?Knock knock. Whose there? Iza. Iza who? Iza knock kneed chicken and a bow legged hen, we ain’t lost a fight since we don’t know when......
Those were the days.
That’s because they don’t have a proper songVilla and to a lesser extent Deby when they sing
Everywhere we go
Everywhere we go
It's the Villa boys making all the noise
Everywhere we go
Most clubs sing it now but I am told it's Villa who originated it and it's genuinely true as well in their case.
Another version......We hate Andy Pandy and we hate Bill and Ben, we hate Ken Dodd and his Diddymen........It's quite possible you were amongst the wizened and gnarled veterans instructing us 90s whippersnappers?
Absolutely insane song, we thought at the time. Was it only Albion who sung it, or more widely known?
Holtenders in the sky
I seem to remember us playing it pre match for home games during Jimmy Melia's time.I remember us doing YNWA with a full complement of scarves aloft, remember it looking really good (probably 1978/79)
