The Avenue then Maloncho
I remember being in the North Stand when YNWA, with claps started. One group in the North were singing something else with claps in it, I can’t remember what, another group were doing YNWA. The 2 songs kind of merged and the hybrid YNWA was born.

“ Walk on, clap clap, Walk on clap clap, With hope, clap clap, in your heart, clap clap” etc, etc, etc.
I think it became quite widespread for a while.
I remember us doing YNWA with a full complement of scarves aloft, remember it looking really good (probably 1978/79)

at home
those were the days my friends
we thought they’d never end
we won the league, three times in a row
we won the FA Cup
and now we’re going up,
we are the town
oh yes we are the town
la la la la la laaaaaaaaa

not sung at the moment as battling relegation, but a brilliant song when sung.

So glad I missed that, I cannot stand YNMA...

I prefer the bastardized version, Sign on, Sign on, with pen in hand, etc etc

Must admit the Villa 'yippie-eye-oh' one is quite catchy. No idea what they are singing though. Kipper Tie?

Excluding Chelsea I love any of The Liquidator chants between the Birmingham ish clubs.
I heard it first a long while ago at Molineux and it's still great.
Absolutely 100% to the point.

Never seen/heard this before, love it.

Newmarket.
I recently discovered that Hartlepool sing "Two little boys" by Rolf Harris. I've always thought that would be a great terrace song tbh.

Imagine dressing up like that, turning up at the pub after being told everyone was going to "Smurf up" for the next game only to find out that it was a wind up.

Currently I will admit to being a fan of MoK at the City Ground.

I remember being on the North Stand pre-match sometime in the mid 90s (with @Garry Nelson's Left Foot?) with some random wizened and gnarled veterans of the 60s/70s educating us on the "Knock Kneed Chicken" song, and part of me laments that ditty not enduring through the decades. At the time, our teenage selves thought it sounded f***ing stupid, mind.

You gotta love the club playing Liquidator so that their fans can shout "F*CK OFF VILLA" in unison... excellent work
