Channel 4 show in the 80's

Can remember watching a show,in fact could have been a series ? Was never 'magic' more 'circus of horror' stuff. Think the presenter was Simon ?

was it the jim rose circus show? seem to remember irons and other appliances being hung off hooks attched to body parts. also a bloke drinking a pint of beer, puking it up again, and then downing it again

Don't think circus was ever in the title ? However it was that kind of stuff. I keep comong back to the name of Simon ?? being the host.
