Looking at that list of teams it is amazing that we can so confidently look down our noses (in terms of playing and points gathering potential) at all of them apart from Newcastle and Norwich ...

We go again next year almost certain to be challenging hard in the promotion race and being better than most of our opposition.

Good times.

Short Newcastle all day at those odds. They have a team completely unsuited for the Championship and will probably lose Benitez. They will need at least one season to rebuild. Think this has just been bolstered by some proud Geordies....

Benitez looks like he's staying.

Newcastle nailed on for first, team is ridiculously good.

Two of the three left in the play offs will be a force.

Dont think thats true at all, most commentators would say teams near the top of the Championship would beat relegated teams in the Premier league, its no good having great players on paper but no great team on the pitch.

Yes. It will be a tough battle for the top 6 places again but we are in a position of strength.

The recruitment team have to repeat their efforts and make us that bit better - taking into account age of some players who contributed a lot this year.

While I do think they're the favourites, some of their bigger players will undoubtedly leave. Wijnaldum, for example, is already being talked about as potentially being bought.

2015/16 Favourites in the betting -

Chelsea 7/4
Derby/Boro 6/1 Joints
Sheffield U 5/1
Portsmouth 4/1 #twats

Always the usual suspects favourite and always fail to achieve

The last two will be near the top of the market again - mug punters love a "big" team in the lower leagues.

I fancy Norwich and Brentford to be in the mix for automatic spots next year.

I can't predict us at all - too much 'noise' in amongst the signal.

Newcastle have just beaten Spurs 5-1 - that is the third best team in the Premier League. If - and it is a big if - they can somehow convince Rafa Benitez to manage in the Championship they should be even shorter than that price

Norwich might be on the drift shortly if @TSF on Twitter is to be believed. Financial crisis, firesale etc.
