I hope that this is the sign of things to come, by that I mean you can't release a promising young midfielder but keep players clearly past their best who're being farmed out to non-league clubs just to get them off the wage bill.

It was Dean Wilkins who only offered him a six-month contract at a time when Fogden, Gargan, Sullivan and Loft were all offered a year, which, for me, speaks volumes for his appraisal of Chamberlain.

'Given' the opportunity? Don't you think he has to earn it?

I assume you are a regular at reserve team games, because you can't get a 'good player' label out of him from watching him in the first team.

have to feel sorry for kids ( I know he is 20) who get released from a club like ours. Where do you go after that, pretty much the end of the pro career and all the dreams and stuff that go with it.
