So we do not have the PREMIERSHIP loan players, and have Crofts back. Why not just admit you were talking bollox? That is the point!

Anyone who thinks we have a weaker squad now than last season is basic.

Not missed them, just made a statement that was simply incorrect, but don't let that get in the way of your rant.

1 - At what point was there a 'rant'?
2 - Clearly, as you have now realised your notion that we are weaker is incorrect, you have now resorted to pedantry.

Well done you. :clap2:

So instead of writing 'we have the same midfield as last season' you actually wanted me to write 'we have the same midfield last season apart from Razak who played 2 games, JFC who played a couple, Assulin who made a few sub appearances etc etc'

Basically, if you are going to post some smart-arse comment, you need to make if factually correct. Not need to make several further posts later, trying to cover-up for your errors.

And in answer to the original question, a certain Bobby Zamora on loan (even if we paid his full £50,000 per week wages) would cost just under £2million for the season.

What the HELL are you on about? So generalisations are BANNED?

No, but if your generalisation is simply inaccurate, you should expect it to be commented upon.

The simple answer is stick to FACTS, or do not keep making smart-arsed comments.

Im pretty sure EVERYONE would agree with the generalisation that we have the same basic midfield and strikeforce as last season.

If you count my exclusion Razak, (a couple of appearances) Assulin (a couple of appearances) and JFC (a few appearances) as me being too ' innacurate' then I'm sure you don't understand what a generalisation means.

You must be great fun down the pub:

Pork Pies fellow pub chap: "Well if RVP can replicate is 35 goals for Arsenal to United then...."
Pork Pie "ummmm actually he scored 37 goals in all competitions"

Pleading poverty

This seems to be Gus's policy with agents, media etc. To help drive down the price/wage to the lowest possible level. Obviously some targets will fall by the way side. However, if some of his targets are still available up to the transfer deadline, he may well snap up the bargain he and we are waiting for. That pressure on keeping the price down is totally tied to the deadline date.
