I think I'll be restricting it to name and address and nothing more. Who, if anyone, I go to bed with is none of their business. Which surely should never need saying.

I see the Humanists have a campaign going to ask that if you aren't religious then say so. Can't remember what I did last time but may have gone CoE as I was Christened but definitely won't this time as I am not religious. There is a school of thought that the religion figures are wildly skewed by people doing the same and choosing what they were brought up with rather than what they actually believe.

4th one I’ve completed but the first one on line, very pleased to see questions about mental health issues, hopefully it’s just not lip service and by the next one in 2031 they will have all but removed the stigma around the condition.

Didn’t see the Jedi Knights get a specific mention, I thought they’d qualified as a religion after the last one?

Forgive me if I am wrong but isn't it supposed to be completed on 21st March??

Yes NP, this does indeed need to be completed on the 21st March but may be completed earlier if you believe your answers will be the same as they are now with the proviso that should anything change you can log into the site again on the 21st and change any circumstances that are different from the original answers you gave if you decided to complete the census earlier. This I did for convenience as I believe to the best of my knowledge that my circumstances will be the same. (Hopefully)

No you have to answer the questions as to your circumstances on Sunday 21st March.:)
The accompanying letter specifically states it should be completed on or after the 21st. Online, there appears to be nothing to stop you - indeed, I started myself until I noticed that and stopped.
After all, we don't yet know who'll still be alive on the 21st., or how many wives or husbands are going to storm out and go back to live with their mother!

It's been so long between censuses (if indeed that be the plural of census) that I can't remember what they asked in the last one. Seeing as how this one was online with no record, can't even remember what they asked this time either. Tho distinctly remember it at the time as being pretty intrusive as regards submitting info that any state apparatus that cared to tap into your responses

"When to complete your census

Every household should complete the census on Sunday 21 March 2021 or as soon as possible after. If you’ve responded before 21 March and things have changed, you can let us know by calling us free. You can find the numbers on our contact us page."

Unless you're dead.
As pointed out above.

we all know the website will collapse on 21st March when several million people all try to go there. makes more sense to take the details over a couple of weeks, as a snapshot of a decade.

I think I'll wait until the 21st as I may have changed my gender preference several times between now and then.

11 days is a lot of potential paternity cases, as well as common law wife claims.

more than enough time to swing both ways and all the way round the block.

they don't ask about guitars and cars do they?
