Censorship on NSC

Prompted by the "NSFW Friday Filth" thread, and no doubt this has been debated before, but I guess a lot of younger kids read and post on NSC.

You might say that their parents could put net nannies on their PCs but I think its the responsibilty of all of us (and not just the mods) to think about that when we post.

The same goes for strong swear words, particularly in thread titles.

Sorry for a couple of f***ing spelling mistakes, what a wanker I am.

I'm also a member of EnglandFans and on there there is an automatic deleter of swear words (its not that sophisticated so Scunthorpe isnt even allowed!). I'm not advocating we go that far, but I do think posters should think before posting

I'm far from a prude BTW (just trying to look out for the little ones).

BOLLOCKS SHIT f*** WANK C.UNT ARSEHOLE KNOB-CHEESE.

If the thread says NSFW the little shits should not open it, wankers.

Do you think kids here/see more swearing on here than in school and when with theor mates?

f*** that shit.

The kids are probably too busy wanking over there jazz mags to notice the adult stuff on here.

If you're that bothered, then start up NSC junior.

Jazz magazines have certainly changed since I was a lad :jester:

You'll be saying next that you have doubts about the steel for the stadium being ordered on time!!

I learned every swearword I know in the playground at primary school. If kids want to look at porn there's alot more in a google search. Type in 'scat sluts' or 'enema porn' and you'll see much worse than the tame pics on the friday filth thread

Far worrying than the swearing and nudity, is it's ability to turn into a smoking room for the far right.

Given the sort of language used oby the average 7 year old out of earshot of his parents (unless they are using it themselves) I can't see NSC corrupting anybody.

You can always take part in the harsh and gritty 'debate' over on brightonfans:

"so sir, I do believe we had a jolly good game today"
"yes we did. We lost 0-4 but they did try hard, I see those gosh darn hoodlums on NSC are complaining again" etc etc

you want more or less censorship? on NSC you can say what you like with little more than the threat of a binfest, unless you really take it too far, ie stray into legal waters. its moderated by an active bunch who know the level. the content is really no different to being down the pub. if it says NSFW then take the hint. if you dont like the content you can always go elsewhere or start your own forum.

or, put another way, f*** off.
