Not sure what your point is here. It's just a name given by the TV companies though isn't it? When Celtic/Rangers play Man United/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/Other, then it matters to fans of Celtic/Rangers and Man United/Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/Other. It's not going to mean anything to other fans, be they English or Scottish.

Edit - get what you mean actually, i.e. means more to the Scottish team than the English one. If you live in Scotland, you get the same SSN culture that everyone else gets. So it's constant Premiership rammed down your throats. So I'd imagine, against teams from Italy and Spain that mean quite little, you'd want to get one over on them more than others.
